REQUESTION FOR QUALIFICATIONS
Deadline: December 8, 2023 – 12:00 p.m.
Jones County is now accepting RFQ’s for Professional Engineering Services. Engineering services must comply with NCDEQ-DWI guidance documents and receive acceptance/approval from NCDEQ-DWI prior to final payments by the County of Jones.
The County of Jones has received funding from the North Carolina general Assembly’s Session Law (S.L.) 2023-134, section 12.2 (e). The funding is administered through NC DEQ Division of Water Infrastructure. A description of the funding award is as follows:
1. Regional Water System Valve Additions ($1,200,000) – Jones County plans to add valves to the existing Jones County Regional Water System.
2. Jones County Water Treatment Plant Expansion ($9,500,000) – Jones County plans to expand its Water Treatment Plant facility so that it may produce more gallons per day of potable water, including adding additional lines towards, and into, Craven County, to supply water to a future Joint Industrial Park.
Contingent upon formal awards, the County of Jones is soliciting requests for qualifications for professional engineering services to assist the County of Jones in a) Regional Water System Valve Additions, and b) Water Treatment Plant Expansion. Payment terms will be negotiated with the selected firm. The fees for professional engineering services will be paid with grant funds.
Respondents must submit the RFQ’s by 12:00 p.m. on December 8, 2023.
