NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
RELATIVE TO APPLICATION
BY JONES COUNTY
FOR FUNDING UNDER THE HOUSING AND COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT ACT OF 1974, AS AMENDED
Notice is hereby given that the Jones County Board of Commissioners will conduct a public hearing on September 6, 2022, at 7:00 PM, or as soon thereafter as the agenda will allow, at the Jones County Agricultural Building located at 110 Market Street in Trenton, North Carolina, in relation to Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding for a project in the community.
Jones County anticipates submitting a Neighborhood Revitalization application in 2022. Information on the amount of funding available, the requirements on benefit to low- and moderate-income persons, eligible activities, and plans to minimize displacement and provide displacement assistance as necessary will be available. Citizens will also be given the opportunity to provide oral and written comment on the County’s use of CDBG funds. All interested citizens are encouraged to attend.
