Public Notice: Joint Leadership & Opioid Settlement Meeting – July 29, 2025
Jones County will hold a Joint Leadership Meeting on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at the Jones County Civic Center located at 832 NC Hwy 58 S, Trenton, NC 28585.
The purpose of the meeting is to convene local elected officials and staff in leadership roles from the Towns, the Sheriff’s Office, the Board of Education, and the Clerk of Court’s Office for collaborative discussion.
One key agenda item will be the annual opioid settlement meeting. In accordance with settlement guidelines, counties receiving opioid funds are required to hold at least one annual meeting with all municipalities invited. This meeting provides an opportunity to receive input on proposed uses of the funds and to encourage local and regional collaboration.
This meeting is open to the public.
