Aging Advisory Committee

This advisory committee was set up to help the Jones County Senior Center and the Jones County Aging Coordinator determine the needs of older adults in the County. For more information contact social services at 252-448-2581.  

Alcoholic Beverage Control

This three-member board appointed by the Jones County Board of Commissioners.  For more information please contact the ABC board at 252-448-3251.

Board of Elections

This is a five-member board.  Four members are appointed by the State Board of Elections based on recommendations of the parties.  The chairman is appointed by the Governor.  For a current list of Board of Elections appointments or vacancies, please contact the Jones County Board of Elections at 252-448-3921.

Civilian Military Community Council

The Civilian Military Community Council includes one Commissioner representative from Jones County and one alternate.  

The purpose of the Civilian Military Community Council shall be to promote goodwill and unity between the military and civilian components of the community and that such shall be accomplished through the adoption and implementation of policy matters of joint interest. The exchange of ideas and information between the military and civilian communities provides for an improved relationship. Coastal Carolina Regional Airport Authority

The Coastal Carolina Regional Airport Authority Board includes one representative from Jones County.  For more information please contact the Jones County Manager’s Office at 252-448-7571.

Coastal Community Action

The members of the Committee of 100 are elected by the Committee of 100 in March of each year. The Jones County Board of Commissioners does not appoint this board. Appointment terms are one-year.

Jones County Department of Social Services Board

The Jones County Department of Social Services Board is a five member board, two of which are appointed by the Jones County Board of Commissioners.  For more information please contact Jones County DSS at 252-448-2581.

Jones County Jury Commission

This is a three member board, however the Jones County Board of Commissioners only appoint one member. For more information contact the Clerk of Court at 252-448-6220.

Jones County Recreation

The Jones County Recreation Board is a 9 member board responsible for programming, coaching, and guidelines for the Jones County Recreation Program.  Contact the recreation department at 252-448-1660 for more information.

Juvenile Crime Prevention Council
