JONES COUNTY RFP:  Accessible Playground at Jones County Shelter & Wellness Center 

Jones County has received a “Letter of Intent to Fund” from Trillium Health Resources. The letter explains that Jones County will receive $250,000 by way of Trillium’s Play Together Inclusive Playground grant.  We are seeking proposals for the design, supply, and installation of an accessible playground at the site of the future Jones County Shelter & Wellness Center as part of our application for the accessible parks grant. We invite your company to submit a bid for this project in accordance with the enclosed specifications.

JCPC RFP: The Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (JCPC) has studied the risk factors and needs of Juvenile Court involved youth in this county and hereby publishes this Request for Proposals. The JCPC anticipates funds from the NC Dept. of Public Safety Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention in the amount stated above to fund the program types specified below. Such programs will serve delinquent and at-risk youth for the state fiscal year 2025-2026 beginning on, or after, July 1, 2025. The use of these funds in this county require a local match in the amount specified above. The county can approve programs for 1 or 2 year funding awards, dependent on county approval and programs meeting all requirements.

JONES COUNTY URGENT REPAIR PROGRAM

Jones County is pleased to announce the opening of the bidding process for the Urgent Repair Program (URP24). This program aims to address critical housing repairs for very low-income homeowners, ensuring safe and accessible living conditions.

Scope of Work: Jones County plans to complete repairs on at least 11 homes under this program. Projects may include repairs addressing lead-based paint hazards, structural safety, or accessibility modifications. Homes built before 1978 must comply with the EPA’s RRP rule, requiring certified lead-safe work practices.

Cost Cap: The maximum repair cost per project is capped at $11,000.

Bid Submission: Sealed bids are required and must be submitted no later than February 7, 2025, by 5:00 PM.
